2014 Mercedes-Benz GLK350 – Review and Price

2014 Mercedes-Benz GLK350 is a model that although looks kind a big and bumpy even for an SUV, offers you car-like driving expirience. After it’s big update for 2013 model year this crossover SUV is coming back even more better and modern then the last redesigned version.

Styling – Interior and Exterior

To some people this crossover looks little bit too square and boxy. With todays uniformed crossover designe being more aerodynamic and smooth, maybe that’s exactly what gives a unique look to it and to be honest his more Lada Niva can be an advantage because unlike some other luxury crossovers this Mercedes looks like it’s made for the off-road mud.

2014 Mercedes benz GLK350 interior is simmilar to theinterior last year’s redesign model had. There’s a little bit more wood and a little bit less plastic, but basically it didn’t change much. Gauges and controls are plain and simple, and add kind of a retro look to the whole interior together with its wooden parts. Basic model comes with vinyl upholstery, but it’s possible to order leather as well. Front seats are positioned well and are comfortable even for longer rides.

Back seat can fit three children or two adults easily. There are no third row seats, and back seat can be folded. Biggest flaw of this crossover is a limited cargo capacity, because for any bigger luggage piece you’ll need to fold down the back seat. From hi tech options GLK350 has mbrace2, a mobile-app connectivity suite, remote vehicle data access via a Smartphone app and Multimedia package with various entertainment options.

It comes with 3.5-liter V6 engine with 302 horsepower and 273 pounds feet of torque which is an in increase of 15 lb ft comparing to older models. Transmission is seven-speed automatic. It can reach 0-60 mph in little bit more then 6 seconds which is a great result and more appropriate for the larger sedan vehicle then for a crossover SUV. Fuel efficiency is slightly increased and is 21 mpg in combined conditions. Diesel versions of this car are much more fuel efficient.

2014 Mercedes-Benz GLK350 Price and Verdict

Price of this model goes from $34,856 to $39,480.

Although 2014 Mercedes GLK350 has a few flaws it’s functional crossover SUV, with some nice features like really powerful acceleration. Biggest flaw is the lack of luggage space, which may cause complete interior redesign for the next year’s model.
